It's Not Over Yet: Signs You Still Need Covid-19 Testing

If you're like most people, you might think that the Covid-19 threat has passed. But, that's not the case. Covid-19 still poses a real threat to you and to the people around you. That's why testing is so important. Unfortunately, many people have stopped testing for Covid-19 exposure. If you haven't tested for Covid-19 in a while, now's a good time to do that. If you're not symptomatic, you might not think you need testing. You might not realize it, but some people don't show any signs when they have Covid-19. Read the list provided below. Here are four important reasons to take a Covid-19 test.

You Live in a High-Risk Location

If you haven't tested for Covid-19 lately, take a look at your local population. If the number of positive cases is going down in your area, you might be safe to forego the Covid-19 testing. But, if the numbers are increasing in your area, now's the time to go in for a test. There are still areas of the United States where Covid-19 cases are going up. You can help slow the spread by taking a Covid-19 test.

You Just Got Back From Vacation

Now that summer is here, it's time for vacations. Unfortunately, you risk exposure to Covid-19 whenever you go on vacation. If you're leaving the country, you'll need to take a test before you leave. If you're vacationing here in the United States, you won't need to take a Covid-19 test before you travel. But, it's a good idea to take a Covid-19 test once you get home from your vacation. You might be exposed to the virus while you're on vacation. Taking a test once you get home will help you reduce your chances of spreading the virus to others.

Your Home Test was Questionable

If you took a home test, and the results were clear, you can trust the test. But, if the results of your home test were questionable, it's a good idea to go in for a medical-grade Covid-19 test. Some questionable results would include very faint lines in the result box, or your at-home test had expired. A medical-grade Covid-19 test will give you accurate results.

Your City Still Provides Free Testing

If you want to give yourself a clean bill of health, but you don't want to pay for at-home test kits, check with your local health department. Many cities are still providing free Covid-19 tests for the community. Not only will you get free testing, but you'll also be doing your part to set a good example.
